The Top Hat — Oliver Postgate

The Clangers - first seen on TV - appear in book form in one of a series of adventures. Fishing in space with a magnet, the Clangers catch a conjuror's top hat, and the three bright orange froglets that appear from inside it are faint with hunger. Perhaps the Soup Dragon can help.
