The Tears of Medusa — William Faust

Longing to see the world beyond the high walls of her sheltered life, Medusa steals away from home to join the island festival. There she becomes drunk on wine and wild celebration, falling prey to a man she just met. The stranger lures her into the temple of Athena, where she is seduced and then abandoned to face the wrath of the gods who transform Medusa into the most terrifying monster in all of mythology. But the curse isn't the end of Medusa's story; it's only the beginning.

Driven from home and her life of wealth and ease, Medusa must go on a quest to search for a way to break the curse. With the help of a fisherman named Perseus, Medusa journeys across the ancient world to the mysterious island of Sarpadon, where she learns that her curse is no accident, and that she is being used as a pawn in a war between the gods.
