Five hundred years from now, the human race has spread across the galaxy. Distant worlds have been colonized, trading routes have been established, and humanity continues to explore new frontiers. One thing, however, still has not happened. So far, the human race appears to be alone in the galaxy. Sent to a remote station orbiting a mining world, Crizz thinks she's set for a few dull years. Soon, however, she starts to realize that this particular station holds some dark secrets. Her only companion is Sutter, a seasoned veteran who has no time for crazy theories. But when equipment is damaged and the mining operation runs into trouble, Crizz starts to wonder whether something else hiding down on the planet's surface. Something angry. Something that isn't human.
