Melita Arnold had inherited the Bell Town News from her father, but her uncle was running the paper for her until she was experienced enough to take over. So Melita couldn't understand why Uncle Rufe hired a new rewrite man without talking to her first. Besides, there was something odd about Derrick Fleming.
