What in the world is a beautiful little princess from 17th-century England doing in 20th-century Iowa in the middle of a pen full of squealing pigs? That's what Elizabeth would like to know. She had been lying in her royal sick bed with a raging fever when she was mysteriously transported into a time and place so incredible she could hardly believe it. Women wear pants instead of gowns, carriages are running without horses, lights go on at the touch of a switch, and most amazing of all, doctors have a magic medicine that makes Elizabeth's fever go away.

Elizabeth is so excited about everything in this strange place. How she'd love to travel back -- and take her new friend Ann with her -- so she could tell her family about all the wonders of the future. The trouble is, even the magic of the 20th century doesn't include the key to getting a 17th century princess back to where she belongs.
