Christine Summers is the local schoolteacher -- far too pretty to be stuck out in the country with only the elderly Brigadier and her scottie for company. Alan Kelso is an eminent surgeon with sadness in his past, far too young to be content with the life of a single gentleman with a large, empty country residence.
