Deirdre Webster a talented jeweler, is rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack. There she meets the therapist who becomes the love of her life. After Deirdre tells her estranged partner to quit her home, the two lovers set off for a romantic break, and promptly disappear. When she does not return to her home at Hestia, police Lt. Kristy Maxwell, Deirdre's friend and neighbor sets out to look for her, accompanied by three of their closest friends. They find Deirdre dead in a remote cabin hideaway. At first it seems that her death is a tragic accident, but some things do not add up for Kristy and as her investigations bring her closer to home, she must deal with the tragedy of deceit, betrayal and murder.
