The Mysterious Stranger — Ruth Bawell

Surprised to find a strange man in her barn, Sarah Bender takes pity on the fellow and allows him to stay the night. A winter storm is brewing, and he seems harmless enough. But when she finds her Daed unconscious on the barn floor the next day -- supposedly knocked out by the mysterious visitor -- she decides to head to town for some answers.
