The Missing Pony Mystery — Laura Lee Hope

When the Bobbseys' favorite pony, Cupcake, is stolen, the twins join forces to rescue him. A diamond-tread tire print near the stable is the first clue. They find others, which eventually lead them into the den of dangerous horse thieves.

A saddlebag is also stolen from the stablemaster. It contains a very special object, which the Bobbseys need to win first prize at an amateur television contest.
