The Memory Chasers — Sandy Beech

After an experiment goes horribly wrong, Sally's body is discovered in her studio. The Memory Chaser, a device she invented to recover lost memories, seems to be the culprit. At her funeral pyre, bizarre lights accompany an earthquake, and the attendees experience unusual and shocking feelings. Thrust into unlocking the truth and circumstances behind Sally's death, her family sets out to understand The Memory Chaser and whether it's linked to the strange lights. In their quest to unravel the mystery, they master The Memory Chaser and increase its functionality. The earthquake lights, apparently a magnetic phenomenon, begin to occur at increasing frequencies around the globe, giving those that are enveloped in the lights the ability to revisit their own memories, as well as others' memories, and communicate telepathically. Will the world be forever crippled by invasive alien thoughts? Are we not alone? What lies on the other side?
