Leamus was a mystery. To everybody! Nobody knew where he was actually from. He was just suddenly 'in' this little Midwestern college town. And he was just as suddenly 'involved' in the intrigue at hand .. the all important DaVinci painting's sixth clue! He knew something about it that nobody else did. And everybody knew it … Gletkin did, the eastern European national with ‘spy' written all over him. Which was why he was now in town. And the same with Frank ‘The Maker' Salerno - the East coast's man for the job! And a Creole sorceress showed up " just to skirt the fringes … Suddenly Gletkin's cell phone rang. He answered it. “Listen, it's time. That fellow really does know. We're sure. Only we don't think it's US that he's going to tell! And he's out on that field right now. You can see him from there. With the help of that scope. It's to your left … Take him out! And you'll have to get rid of your friend too. This isn't the time to be nice.” The caller then hung up. Gletkin knew an order when he heard it. His stiletto found his mark. Seamlessly too. Which was why he was a pro. Because he loved it. Everything seamless. Everything. All 007's loved it. It's what attracted them to the job. Everything. Incursions, hits, coups, fake banks. Hell - even fraudulent checks! ... But then before he could 'pinch' the phone suddenly rang again. A priority interrupt! And he knew it. Lowering his sights, he answered … “Called off. Don't touch him. Take the rifle with you. Just leave your unlucky friend right there. And get off of that roof right now!” That was it. They then hung up. Thing was, it was a different voice this time. And one that caught Gletkin COMPLETELY by surprise ... ... It was Frank!
