Ashleigh Griffen has a special place in her heart for Shadow, the filly she watched being born. So when Shadow disappears from Edgardale, Ashleigh is devastated. Shadow is only a couple of months old--how will she survive? Ashleigh's parents search for days, but eventually give up hope. Ashleigh can't bear knowing that Shadow is out there somewhere.
