Prequel: The Long Journey tells how the African animals ended up living in a remote island far away from their original home.
The story starts from Africa. Animals are imprisoned and loaded in the Spanish ship's cargo hold to be sold abroad. The Spanish fleet is on its way to their colonies in the Americas. However, the trip there is not so easy. The storms are fearsome. When a strong hurricane hits the fleet, the crew and the animals have to decide what to do.
The book one: The Traitor Gator tells what happened to the animal society in Animellis Island and how they organized their lives there. Everything goes well until a newcomer, an alligator, arrives and starts scheming against the current leaders of the island.
