Young Bridget Preston was a rather lonely girl. Both her parents had died when she was young and she spent most of her life in boarding schools or with her elderly grandmother.
So when she began her student training at the Royal, she was delighted to find herself included in the social life of the hospital and even more delighted to find that the high spirited and popular “Bobby” Aston wished to be her friend.
But then Dr. Josh Simpson began to take an interest in Bridget and Bobby's friendship turned to jealousy. And, once more, it seemed that Bridget was destined to be the lonely one.
