The brother of an outlaw kidnaps U.S. Marshal M D (Shorty) Thompson for revenge. Shorty had caught Sam Tolbert's brother Ed, and he was hung for killing the Laramie sheriff. Sam and his gang will make Shorty pay, first with his gold and then with his life. Tolbert and his gang head to Wyoming to grab Shorty and Buffalo's gold, with Shorty in tow. Shorty's partner, Buffalo, rides over two hundred miles to enlist the aid of Janice McCord, Shorty's cousin, also known as The Littlest Gun. No other woman and very few men have Janice's ability with a .45. She and her friend Cloudy Dawn will bring Shorty back alive and leave a few outlaws dead in the process. While on the trail to Wyoming, several men make the mistake of thinking Janice is just a helpless little girl. She does not tolerate nonsense of men trying to put their hands where they don't belong. After getting slapped up beside the head with a .45, they back off. On the trail, Janice and Dawn have one big problem after another. When her ranch foreman is shot and wounded outside of Leadville, they realize they are being followed themselves. Could it be more Tolbert men?
