The Legacy Quilt — S.K. McClafferty

Abby's school project precedes a search of the Spring house attic, where Maggie discovers buried treasure in the form of her great-grandmother's journal.  The discovery sheds light on a dark period of West Virginia's history: the Coal Wars, and Grandmother Lydia's role in the violence. Meanwhile, an unexpected visitor has Maggie reevaluating her goals for the future.
