Harry Hall kills people for a paycheck. He did it for the government, and now he does civilian contracts for a wealthy Hollywood film investor. When Hall is sent to his home state of Kansas, the job looks fairly ordinary. But when the target is revealed, he rebels. This is one hit he can't possibly make. He's confused and angry and sets out to find the truth and make his own justice. Then suddenly he realizes he's been crossed up -- he's not the only hit man in town. Besides saving his own skin, Hall is forced to decide between a woman in LA he wants to love and a woman in Kansas he could love again.
