The Janitors were soldiers who got the dirty end of the stick during World War II. They were assigned to "clean up" Pacific islands after the Marines had gone through. On one of those islands, named Toji, the Janitors discovered that dead Japanese soldiers refused to remain dead, and indeed posed a grave threat to the living . . . and the Janitors were the only living beings on the island. Just keep telling yourself: it's only a story. Sure. That'll work.
