Lady Two Bird, Mayan high priestess of the goddess lx Chebel, is by law forced to leave her position of power, to step down as a younger woman assumes her place. But can she still serve her goddess and her people even as an outsider opens her eyes to her own doubts?

In order to survive the collision of their cultures, Tyrthbrand and Lady Two Bird must form an unlikely alliance. And as the clouds of war cover the earth, the Viking and Mayan gods are thrown into an ethereal conflict that could threaten the foundations of both the heavens and the earth....
