Ethan Anderson is a young man who has breezed his way through life. When the ufo invasion that his father warned him about growing up comes to fruition, Ethan embarks on a trek with his best friend, Steve, and female crush, Tessa, to recover a weapon that he believes could be the savior of the species. Along the way, the trio is plagued by natural disasters, unnatural disasters perpetrated by their fellow man, and supernatural disasters caused by the invaders themselves.
