The Grand — Katherine Hardy

Opening on New Year's Eve 1918, this story follows the fortunes of the Bannerman family who are having a party to celebrate the relaunch of their hotel. On the night of the party, one of their guests is shot dead, and the evidence begins to point towards imminent destitution for the Bannermans.
