Robin Holkowski had a lot to prove -- that she could still be a woman and a top player on the formerly all-male Alabama Satellites baseball team. The Satellites were just a step below the major leagues, and Robin felt more than ready to beat the boys on their own turf. She just wasn't ready for handsome coach Michael Ryan, who was having a devastating effect on her concentration.

An injury kept Michael from a career as a player, but he knew talent when he saw it, and pretty pixie-like Robin was terrific. She was fielding her teammates' insults off the field: on it, she was all business. Michael's problem was that he kept thinking about how Robin would feel in his arms.
