To find a thief...It was a nightmare...it couldn't be!
The gown Stacey Harrison had designed for Madame Ninon's still secret new collection, worn by a rival couturier's model to one of San Francisco's most glittering social events! Who had stolen the design for "Dusk" and sold it to Roxley? Someone who wanted to hurt Madame, perhaps one of the models at the salon? Or someone who wanted to hurt Stacey. Someone she trusted, maybe even someone she loved...?
Moment of Triumph...
"Dusk," Madame Ninon said suddenly. "We will call the dress "Dusk"."
Stacey felt like clapping her hands but restrained herself. "You--you mean you are going to have it made up from my sketch?"
Madame nodded. "It will not only be made up, it will have a special showing. Now, not a word. If you are going to become a designer--and it looks very much as if you already are one--you must learn never to discuss your designs. All right?"
At that moment, Stacey would have agreed to solitary confinement! "Thank you, Madame, thank you..."
