The Desert Night — Frank Cereo

A new species has mysteriously shown up in the New Mexican desert. Wildlife, livestock and humans are dying in an unusual way. The attacks only come at night. A professor in zoology is baffled as he tries to uncover what he is up against. Every night the body count increases with no resolution in site. Are the humans in jeopardy of being overrun as the dominant race on earth or is there another species taking over that role?
