Suzie Adams, New York reporter, is in over her head. She has exposed a major fraud in a company that has been ripping off investors. The owners, a businessman and secretly, a politician, are determined to eliminate her. Her only ally is a mild mannered accountant, Hal Comstad, who works for the company. Against this background is set a fabulous romp that explores, amongst other things, the United States Constitution, a crazy television station with narcissistic stars, a flamboyant and out of control trial lawyer, a clever German Shepherd dog, Rex, and various religious and philosophical beliefs.
