ANITA FOSTER, is only the child of Melvin and Sandra Foster, and the apple of their eyes; especially Melvin's! They couldn't be happier with her, or her dark flawless ebony hue; especially her half-white â€" look white - mother…Sandra. Her aunts, uncles, and cousins all adore her. Even though they are also light/white skinned, they see her beauty…beyond the hue. However, she has spent her entire life being ridiculed by her half-white color struck great aunt, Ima Beaumont. Unbeknown to Anita's parents, Ima has secretly badgered Anita about her black skin, for years. She has quietly drilled in Anita's head that America, and this world, was not made for ‘spooks'. Out of all the voices encouraging Anita, her mean spirited aunt's voice is the one she believes. Her aunt said she'll never amount to anything, and she believes her. Her spirit is defeated, and she has no hope. JEREMIEL is an Archangel. He knows that Elohim has afforded him a ‘sanctioned' mate. He even knows that it's Anita Foster, but he can't see her; and doesn't even know where she is. His brother, the Archangel Michael, blocked his view, the moment she was born. Now he has been summoned by Michael, because Anita is in danger of losing her sweetness, and her innocence. Michael is reluctant to let him see her, or even tell him where she is. It is understandable, because although he is older than Time, Anita is only 14 years old. A wee child! Jeremiel refuses to stand idly, on the sidelines. He comes up with a plan that will allow him to rescue his mate. Michael agrees, and calls on another Archangel to help Jeremiel with his scheme.
