The Affair of Peoh — Aileen Morris

Dorothy Everglade has returned safely home to the Gray District, but everything has changed. Not only have her experiences in Emeraldia left their mark, but no one must suspect that she and Freddie Verbena are not lovers - not even their own parents - if Dorothy is not to become a figurehead for the fledgling rebellion. This leads to innumerable complications, as Mrs. Everglade struggles to cope with her daughter's entry into the world of adulthood, old friend Jerry Vincent's jealousy leads to legal trouble, and Freddie himself might not be overly pleased with the deception. But when the rebel strikes become increasingly frequent and more dangerous, it might take more than a pretend romance to save Peoh from disaster.
