Blanche Morris was traveling by covered wagon to Willow Hollow so she could find a job to take care of her and her baby. Along the way, she came across three kids whose parents had died on the trail. She took them in and cared for them, loving them like her own. Halfway to Willow Hollow, she got caught in a blizzard and feared they'd perish from the cold when Cory Gray came to the rescue.

Cory couldn't believe that a woman, a baby, and three kids were stranded along the trail to Willow Hollow. He got the wagon unstuck in the ditch and took them to his cabin, letting Blanche know that she was free to stay as long as she wanted and he'd live in his old one room cabin while they were there so there wouldn't be any gossip. As days slipped by, he fell in love with Blanche, but she brushed his feelings aside, telling him that love couldn't happen that quickly. Could he convince her otherwise and to stay and marry him, or would she leave him and break his heart?
