Tenets — Wade Lewellyn-Hughes

Taking place prior to the events in OPPROBRIUM, TENETS is a twisting story that can be enjoyed on its own or used to supplement the larger narrative of the Lamentation's End series, revealing the events that led Stille van Veen to join the Ukrestian monastery. After a break from his older brother's shadow, Stille van Veen returns with their mercenary band to his home island of Lekelith. Rumors relay strange events across the island: abducted lowlander villagers, escaped prisoners from the Five Snakes, and assassinated Racinian nobles. But, at his brother's insistence, his band agrees to complete a paying job first, one commissioned by a peculiar mage in the Tower of Aontus. Little do they realize just how intertwined all of these events truly are. A secret society seeking to enslave magi, family ties, and an unrelenting necromancer force Veen down paths that demand sacrifices. But which loss serves the greater good?
