They're writers, neighbors, and dear friends, determined not to spoil things with a romantic entanglement. Then a double case of writer's block drives whimsical Cristy McKnight to a rash wager with wickedly handsome, infuriatingly smug Webster Cannon: She'll concoct his mystery if he'll pen her romance!
But Cristy fumbles at dashing off dialogue for cynical he-men. And Webb's skill at making passes doesn't translate into scribbling love scenes. Worst of all, they're reeling with frustration of an entirely different sort: a friendship turned suddenly, sensually serious -- and fraught with more twists and turns than even a literary genius could unravel.
