Tilley's frantic days as a Wall Street stockbroker were over. Now as the owner of a candy shop, her life revolved around holidays--chocolate bunnies for Easter, Halloween candy, Christmas sweets, and, of course, Valentine's Day. David Danforth, the wealthy and charming owner of Houston's biggest department store, was wasting his time if he thought he could muscle her back into the fast lane. It was typical of his big-business mentality that he'd try to coerce her into selling her candy through Danforth's Department Store.
