As a cartoonist for the politically outspoken Austin newspaper, Leida Adams was well aware of the steamy nature of Texas politics. Her work won much acclaim, as she anonymously drew the biting, satirical cartoons of the politicians whom the newspaper didn't like. And they didn't like Senator Grant Hunter.

Leida never intended to meet the Senator, but she hadn't planned on her sailboat overturning in the Texas Gulf, either. Grant was a genuine lifesaver! How could she tell her new fond hero who she was...without getting tossed back to sea?
