Summer Star — Jane Rossiter
When struggling young actress Gale Strong joined the cast of the Playhouse, she thought she would be spending all her free time with her fiancé Eric Lane. But it didn't work out that way, Eric had little time for Gale. He was too busy advancing his own career by coaching glamorous Jess Grant, daughter of a Hollywood star.
Disappointed, Gale decided to plunge herself into rehearsals. The excellent results brought her to the attention of Jack Latimer, the handsome producer of the Playhouse. Before long they found they had much in common and were dating regularly. It was soon evident he was in love with her.
It was a crucial time for Gale and just as she was beginning to care for Jack she was faced with an emotional shock. Eric confessed he'd been selfish, that Jess was nothing more than a flirtation. “It's you I love. I want to marry you.”
Could she believe him? What should she do?
