Summer Dreams — Bill Gutman

This jock-romance features a pair of runners. Kim has a hard time adapting to big-time competition, and Derek realizes he may be at his level of incompetence in the fast company of Olympic High. A few minor characters float through the plot, which is predictable. The athletic background grounds the story in reality, so overall it rates a pretty good.
