After dying and leaving only a paltry sum to his good-for-nothing son, Aubrey, Farquhar Arbuthnot sticks around, keeping a close, ghostly eye on his son, and sending Aubrey searching for an otherworldly ghost repellant.
Attending a seance to contact his father, Aubrey discovers that he has psychic powers. At first he thinks he's gone made, but he meets quite a few other ghosts in the process. Including a music hall performer that refuses to admit that he is dead, driving his living spouse mad. Aubrey also clashes with the famous society psychic, Ronald Cockcroft.
