No one could quite believe it when pretty, petite Misty de Armond appeared at the ski school she'd inherited and announced she was taking over. In truth, Misty herself was terrified, but after her brother's tragic death, she was determined to do as he asked. Before she could catch her breath, she had inherited the ski school on Sunrise Mountain that her brother had established--and now it was hers to handle all by herself. Naturally, all the instructors were stunned and slightly amused when Misty appeared as their new boss -- but Misty was terrified. There was Andy, immediately antagonistic; Dave, serious but friendly; Erika, a dark-eyed beauty who pointedly ignored Misty; Vick, a member of the Ski Patrol, who insisted that Misty learn to ski, despite her fears; and Paul, the witty entertainer of the ski lodge who challenged her to ski the dangerous Star Chute with him.
