Stalker — Ed Lynskey

or his latest hardboiled adventure, P.I. Frank Johnson travels to the Northern Virginia suburbs outside of Washington, D.C. He takes up investigating a furtive stalker who has been harassing a veterinarian's office manager. As he probes into her stalker case, he identifies a few suspects and narrows them down to expose the deranged and ruthless culprit who is following his stressed client.   As he always does, Frank leans on his long-time friend and business partner, Gerald Peyton; his medical examiner wife, Dreema; and his brilliant but outspoken criminal attorney, Robert Gatlin who practices law in the affluent enclave of Middleburg. Frank works long hours during a hectic week to wind up the stalker case for his client, allowing him to return home to his rural hamlet of Pelham, Virginia.
