After the way her boyfriend Philip had let her down, Petra was glad to get away from London for the summer and take a job in Cornwall as secretary-companion to nice old Mrs. Ombersley. But then Philip turned up again, and Petra realised that she no longer cared about him. Could her change of feelings have anything to do with Carey, after all?
