Dev Pathmajaran is a 17 year old college student who lives, eats and breathes physics; he knows everything there is to know about dark matter. Molly Sharp is a young woman who hears voices and they are definitely not in her head and Zack Healey is a loner in Newcastle who dropped out of school and no-one knows why. Three different people, three different lives and one connecting force. When Dev accidentally stumbles across the realisation that dark matter in the universe is increasing due to trapped energy, he embarks on a quest to find out where this energy is coming from. But he is not the only one. In North Korea scientists have discovered a way to harness dark matter into one of the deadliest weapons ever known to man and for Dev, what starts as a harmless investigation soon becomes a dangerous pursuit and a race for time. When he works out that this trapped energy will affect the earth's gravitational pull, spinning it away from the sun and that there is a light that seems to soak up dark matter, he knows that he has to unravel a complex web of connections and an intricate system of physics and belief to find the answer and to save the planet. But Dev is not alone and on this frightening and fast paced adventure he finds unlikely partners in a beautiful young girl with psychic powers and the ghostly presence that haunts her. Together they have one chance to find the light and discover the real meaning of S.O.S.
