After twelve years of marriage to Eddie, an engineer on the oil rigs in the North Sea, Jeannie is beginning to realise that there is something seriously wrong with their relationship. He has become cold and distant to her on his fortnightly breaks at home. She confides in her close friend who suggests she needs a short holiday.
