Wingate was the meanest bounty hunter to ever collect on a back-shot corpse. He was a mountain man making a dollar, just a hair's breadth on the right side of the law. And he always brought in his man...dead, alive, or somewhere in between.

Now, Wingate's set his sights on the honcho of a certain wagon train. And for Slocum, staying alive means watching his back -- which ain't easy, seeing as his eyes are fastened on the lovely daughter of a hellfire preacher.
