CULTURE SHOCK
When San Francisco bookstore owner Lark Dodge and her friend Ann rent a flat in London, they anticipate a bit of bookseller's business and a lot of touristy fun. They get murder.
A new acquaintance, a Czech poet, is stabbed on the tube, and Lark makes a quick copy of a valuable manuscript he'd handed her before turning the original over to the police. Perhaps that explains the ransacking of her flat. But what about the brutal murder of her stuffy landlady and her beloved pooch?
Hounded by the police and the American-eating tabloids, Lark, husband Jay and Ann discover the real meaning of "tourist trap."
