Treacherous and brutal Sidney XXIII is the twenty third consecutive Sidney to be given the family treasure and business from his father. It is a family tradition passed down through five centuries. The treasure is a massive collection of plundered gold, gemstones, and cash and is hidden in a cave; the family business is piracy. The Sidneys are solo pirates and they are not in the business to live luxuriously; in fact, they hoard the treasure. The only thing important to them is planning the raids and taking the prizes. After a series of successful raids on ships, casinos, banks and even an airplane at 38,000 feet, Sidney pays off the woman he had impregnated six years ago, and collects his son in the mountains of the Dominican Republic. The poor farm boy has never been exposed to the life that is about to swallow him up. Sidney XXIII immediately begins the arduous training so the six year old boy will know everything about the sea, nature, and how to be victorious in every fight or raid-before his thirteenth birthday.
