Years ago, Voltron mysteriously disappeared, and the five lions were scattered throughout the universe. Now, with the help of three new recruits, Voltron rises again, to defend the universe once more!

After a mysterious disappearance, the mighty Voltron is back! Now the original Voltron pilots -- Pidge, Hunk, Lance, Allura and Commander Keith -- are training three new cadets: Daniel, Larmina and Vince. Each cadet brings something special to the team, and as they train, the depths of their gifts are revealed.

It is not a peaceful time in the universe. King Lotor and his villainous minion Maahox are determined to destroy Voltron once and for all. This time they unleash a horrifying storm, churning with evil energy. When Daniel, Larmina and Vince are sucked into the vortex, their worst nightmares come true!
