Stephen, a young lad from a small village near the Bard's home town of Stratford-Upon-Avon, England, reads, eats, and breaths all things Shakespeare. On this, the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare's birthday, he is even more keen to enjoy his work. However, even Stephen, and eventually, his friend Danny, find an eery way of meeting their hero... They simply read certain pieces. After slowly dropping off to sleep, first Stephen, then Danny, find they can go right back to William's time, and the start of a life-long series of adventures with the world's most renowned Playwright and Author thus blossoms. Every part of the Bard's life is shared, from his 'missing years', to the birth of his children, and lots of scary and poignant adventures in between. Stephen's life then takes a decidedly odd direction, when Danny can no longer go back with him. Even though they bring back original parchments of sonnets and other works, and a few items like a word, rings, and other Medieval 'finds', Stephen realises that no one believes their amazing and unique story. But things get even more exciting, and ultimately love blossoms, and the end of his many adventures with William Shakespeare, brings poignancy and humour to an unusual, strange, but beautiful conclusion.
