Bashful Cynthia has fallen in love -- with her best friend, Bill. But she's afraid to confess her feelings face to face. If he doesn't feel the same way, their friendship may be ruined forever. So Cynthia decides to become Bill's secret admirer. She writes him passionate poems and signs them "Charlotte Wodehouse."

Bill flips over his mystery mate. But he never suspects it's Cynthia who's sending him love letters. Instead, he begins writing his own letters -- to the wrong girl. Finally, Cynthia must make a painful decision: If she doesn't tell Bill the truth, she'll never find out how he feels about her.
