Season of Shadows — Muriel Jensen

Jack Keaton arrives in Maple Hill, Massachusetts, determined to find the truth behind his wife's "accidental" death. He'd been on a tour of duty in Iraq when she was killed, and he's convinced someone was trying to keep her quiet. But local reporter Kay Florio suspects Jack is in town on a mission of revenge.

To find out, she'll have to get close to Jack. And that means getting closer to Jack's six-year-old daughter, Amanda -- a prospect that terrifies Kay. In Amanda's young face, Kay glimpses memories of her little sister Betsy, who was snatched from Kay's side when she was only eight. Kay has never forgiven herself for not protecting her sister.

Now Kay must face difficult memories -- and difficult choices. But first she must decide if she can trust Jack's motives...and his love.
