SCHOOLBOY CRICKET HEROES is the story of schoolboy Mark Adams and his fight for the return of cricket to be played at his Junior School. Unable to understand why it is no longer encouraged at this level, he approaches his Father for help and advice, but is told by him to forget the idea and to concentrate more on his schooling. In desperation, he turns to his Uncle who is very sympathetic towards his nephew's plight as he himself once played professional cricket and can understand the boy's frustration at not being able to participate in the game at his school, but feels powerless to help in any way regarding this matter. Mark confronts his headmaster on the subject, but is told quite emphatically that the prospects of cricket ever returning to the school is highly unlikely. Bitterly disappointed, but not deterred, Mark thinks of a plan to change all this. With help from his West Indian school friend and fast bowler, Wesley, this is put into action. Discover what happens to our two heroes and the effect they both have on their schoolteachers and parents, the TV and Press media, on education authorities, the local mayor, and a television cricket commentator, as they pursue their dream.
