Lacey Williams is an aspiring artist whose life seems to be out of control. First, her best friend, Crystal, is having cold feet about her own upcoming wedding. Once at Lacey's apartment, however, Crystal is more concerned with engineering a meeting between Lacey and her intriguing downstairs neighbor, Greg, whom Lacey has known only through his inspiring piano playing.

Lacey's troubles continue when her great aunt escapes from a retirement home and a client disappears on the eve of a major news conference. Luckily, computer-whiz Greg manages to lend his steady hand and helps Lacey resolve all her problems.
