Jack is on the beat doing his rounds when he comes across something he doesn't expect. A routine pickup becomes a fight for his life as a bunch of criminals conspire to take his life. Jack must fight to survive against the stiff odds thrown his way if he wants to see his way through this. "Spectacular cop action."

Where is everybody?He got his answer in one of the most unexpected ways he could have imagined. Jerry, the perp he had been sent to collect, stumbled out of the hallway to the left of the top of the stairs and fell straight down towards Jack.
He came to a halt on the stairs just in front of Jack. If the fall hadn't killed him the stab wounds would have.
Jack pulled away slightly in shock. He'd seen more than his share of dead bodies in his time in the force and Jerry wasn't really that messed up compared to others he had seen recently, but it was the implications.
Jack was standing in a 2 meter wide, 25 or more step set of stairs, whoever who did this to Jerry was likely still around and would be quite keen to find their run away victim.
He realized he was in a tricky position and his heart started to beat a little quicker. If the killer found him here.
He ran for the top pulling his police issue Beretta 9mm out and aiming it up the stairs.
He needn't have worried. He got to the top with no issues. Jack stood there breathing hard trying to get his mind around what was happening. His cop mind told him that he should have run the other way and left the store to call this in, but his reaction had just been whatever was most suitable at the time. He kicked himself for being so stupid.
A man stepped out of one of the offices on this floor. Jack turned to see if it might be one of the store members, but quickly realized that this wasn't.
Their eyes met for a moment. Both stood there staring in surprise. One because a cop wasn't an expected thing here and the other because he hadn't seen a Mac 10 submachine gun in the hands of a crim since those training videos back in cop school.
They both reacted at the same time. The Mac 10 came up as the Beretta lined up.
There was a burst of fire from both of them...
